Greg Springer, President, and James Hygate, CEO of Green Fuels America
James Hygate
James holds a BSc in Zoology from Reading University and a MSc in Environmental Assessment and management from Oxford Brookes University. Since completing his Masters in 1998 James’ environmental commitment and entrepreneurial spirit has been apparent. In 1998, James co-founded The Environmental Solutions Company Ltd, offering total solutions for ground contamination and waste management. In 1999, James founded Waste Exchange UK Ltd, offering the first online Waste Exchange service to businesses within the UK. With a passion for biofuels James co-founded Green Fuels Ltd in 2003, which quickly became a world leader in biodiesel production technologies. James often talks at international conferences on biofuels and is seen as a trusted voice within the industry.
Greg Springer, P.E.
Greg holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and a MBA from City University, Seattle. Greg has 25 years of Operations, Finance and Engineering management experience in start-up and fast growing high tech manufacturing companies. Most recently he was the COO/CFO at Biodiesel Solutions Inc in Sparks, Nevada. Greg has been a principal in four start-up companies and has helped sell the last two to NYSE listed firms. Greg has experience in the laser, digital camera, computer peripherals, and biodiesel industries.
Colin Hygate
Colin graduated from Lanchester Polytechnic with a BA in Business Studies. Colin has experience in a range of renewable energy and waste management businesses, including biofuels, recycling and energy from waste. This has culminated in the creation of two renewable energy companies: Green Fuels Ltd, producing biodiesel equipment, and WasteGen (UK) Ltd, utilizing pyrolysis technology for the conversion of waste to energy. He is regularly invited to speak at international and national conferences on waste management and renewable energy.
Chris Trotman
Chris joined the Board of Green Fuels Limited in 2006 following a career of more than twenty years with the AB SKF Group where he held several directorships within the Group, including Managing Director of SKF (UK) Limited. He has also held directorships in the Water and IT sectors and is currently Chairman of Hitec Laboratories Ltd. Chris holds a degree in Business Studies and became a Fellow of The Institute of Directors in 1989.
